Gigs for Girls!

Calling all bands! Did you know we have a musician-friendly fundraising campaign?

Our Gigs for Girls campaign is a call to musicians and musical performers to donate some or all of the proceeds from one show to Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls. Your donation will support all of our year-round, sliding scale programs which are dedicated to music making, collective voice raising, safer spaces and genderjustice.

Listen! Harsh Crowd’s EP

We are proud that Harsh Crowd, the longest running band that formed at camp, was recently featured on AFROPUNK, and has become the first camper band to release an EP! We love that we get to mentor them at our year-round practice space and we’re so thrilled that their EP totally rocks! Listen on their bandcamp here!

Bowl-a-thon Rocks

Big-League thanks to our 3rd Annual Rock ‘n’ Bowl-a-Thon bowlers, donors and friends for all of your hard work, generous donations, and kind call-outs to your communities! Thanks to you, we have now not only MET but SURPASSED our $15,000 goal (we’ve raised more than $16,500!).

This means that the WMRC Fairness Fund now has almost $17,000 in new support. This collectively-generated expression of support will make it possible for MORE girls & gender non-binary youth to make MORE noise and make MORE change in the world. THANK YOU!!!
