We believe in the power of music.
Take a moment to read this great article in the The New York Times about Harsh Crowd, who met at Willie Mae Rock Camp, their new EP, as well as the story behind their band name and their inspirations.
Harsh Crowd was also just named on of the the top 20 bands under 20 in The Guardian! Awesome.
It’s almost the end of 2016 and we hope that you will once again support the Fairness Fund and all of our young rockers with a year-end gift. This month our goal is to raise $20,000 so that we can create a bedrock of support for girls and gender non-conforming youth to take up space, tell their stories and make noise in the world.
You can help make a lasting impact with a year-end gift of $11, $50, $111 or $1,111 to help us reach our goals, amplify our programs, give even more scholarships and sustain the vital space that rock camp creates. Yes! I want to help TURN IT UP for 2016!
This FREE after-school and summer program provides an exciting opportunity for teens to learn about the powerful combination of music and social justice, develop practical journalism and new technology skills and most importantly, have fun!
