Our music lab is powered by technology. We prepare students for a tech-driven future by cultivating:
Tuition-free access to tech-based music education
Creative problem solving and skill-building through STEM learning
Powerful storytelling through songwriting and digital art production
Digital Mentorship Winter Series
This program teaches students the fundamentals of producing electronic music using creative tech. Students will learn skills such as: song development and creating a musical track, making beats, electronic instruments, live coding, and much more.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 - 6:00 pm; January 7 - March 11, 2024

Open to: Girls and gender-expansive youth ages 10-17

Recently, our namesake, Willie Mae “Big Mama” Thornton, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! In her honor, we’re opening our studio and inviting our community to stop by, learn more about Willie Mae, explore our instruments and gear, and try your hand at writing a blues-inspired song!
